How to Set Up Drip Campaigns in Customer.io

A drip campaign is a series of automated messages sent on a predefined schedule to nurture leads. In Customer.io, these are built using a simple sequence of message and delay blocks.

1. On your Customer.io main dashboard, click Campaigns in the left sidebar.
2. Start building a new campaign by clicking on the Create Campaign button.
3. Click Untitled at the top-left to name your campaign.
4. Click the Trigger block and select Attribute or Segment to define who enters the drip.
5. Click the + Build button and drag and drop a Push Notification or SMS block to send an immediate welcome message.
6. Click the Time Delay block once it's on the canvas to specify the duration.
7. Drag and drop your next message block (like Email or Survey...) directly below the delay you just configured.
8. When done with the configuration, click on the Start Campaign button.
9. Choose Current people and future additions to include everyone who matches now, plus anyone who qualifies later.
10. Click again on Start Campaign to launch your automated series.
