Integrating Microsoft To Do with Slack allows you to turn messages into tasks and get notifications about your to-do list without leaving your chat window. Since there is no "native" button inside Slack for this, you should use Zapier to create the connection.
- Go to zapier.com and sign in (or sign up for free).
- Click Create > Zaps in the left panel to start a new Zap.
- Click Trigger to define what kicks off this workflow.
- Search for and select Microsoft To Do as your trigger application.
- Click Sign in to connect your Microsoft To Do account.
- Under Trigger event, choose from the dropdown list.
- Click Continue with selected record to proceed with this setup.
- Select Slack as your action app to send notifications when tasks are created.
- Click Sign in to connect your Slack workspace.
- Click Continue to move forward with configuring your Slack message.
- Click the field and insert dynamic data from your Microsoft To Do task—like title or due date.
- Click Publish to activate your Zap and start automating.
