If you only want new Asana tasks to "pop up" in your personal list without a complex back-and-forth sync, Zapier is the best choice.
- Go to zapier.com and sign in (or sign up for free).
- Click Create > Zaps in the left panel to start a new Zap.
- Click Trigger to define what kicks off this workflow.
- Search for and select Microsoft To Do as your trigger application.
- Click Sign in to connect your Microsoft To Do account.
- Under Trigger event, choose from the dropdown list.
- Click Continue with selected record to proceed with this setup.
- Search for Asana as your "Action" app.
- Sign in to your Asana account, and when the pop-up window appears, click Allow Access.
- Select an item from the dropdown list as your trigger event.
- Start mapping: Match the Asana task title and due date to the available fields in your Microsoft To Do list.
- Click Publish to activate your Zap and start automating.
