How to Integrate Intercom with Jira Cloud

Quick summary

The Intercom–Jira Cloud integration lets support teams create and link Jira issues directly from Intercom conversations, eliminating manual hand-offs between support and engineering. Setting it up takes under five minutes using the Intercom App Store and a standard OAuth authorization flow.


Steps

  1. Open the left-side panel in Intercom and click Settings.
  2. Select Integrations from the Settings menu options.
  3. Tap App Store to open the Intercom application marketplace.
  4. Search for Jira and select Jira Cloud from the suggested results.
  5. Click Install Now on the Jira Cloud app listing page.
  6. Tap Authorize Access and log into your active Jira account to begin the OAuth connection.
  7. Click Accept to agree to the terms and grant the required permissions to complete the authorization.
  8. Confirm the successful installation — your Intercom account is now fully integrated with Jira Cloud.
