Customizing your GitHub profile is a great way to showcase your skills, projects, and personality. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Click your profile icon located at the right upper corner of your GitHub dashboard.
- From the drop-down menu, select 'Your profile'.
- Customize the README.FILE. The README.md file supports Markdown formatting, which allows you to add text, images, links, and more.
- Click on the 'Customize your pins' to showcase your best repository in your profile.
- You can edit pinned items by selecting more repositories that you want to pin.
- Click 'Save pins' to complete the action.
- Click 'Edit profile'.
- Add your name, bio, pronouns or company and customize your profile how you want it to be.
- Add your website, email and social accounts. Once done, click 'Save'.
- Click the emoji icon to set a profile status.
- Select a status and click 'Set status'.
