Quick summary
Cross-doc references in Coda let you sync table data from one document into another, keeping information up to date without manual copying. Install the free Cross-doc pack via the Insert menu to reference any table from another Coda doc directly inside your current document.
Steps
- Open your Coda document where you want to add the Cross-doc reference.
- Click the Insert button in the top toolbar.
- From the dropdown menu, select Packs.
- Browse the available packs and locate Cross-doc — it lets you reference data from other Coda documents.
- Click Add to doc for free to install the Cross-doc pack.
- When prompted, select the source document and then choose the specific table you want to reference.
- Drag the selected table to your preferred location in the current document.
- Click Add to doc to import the data — the reference stays synced with the source document automatically.
- Your Cross-doc reference is now live and can be used like any native table in your document.
