Building a powerful email campaign in Customer.io allows you to automate your communication based on how your users interact with your product. Follow these simplified steps to get your first automated journey running on the visual canvas.
- On your Customer.io main dashboard, click Campaigns in the left sidebar.
- Start building a new campaign by clicking on the Create Campaign button.
- Select Choose trigger to define what kicks off your campaign.
- Choose Attribute or Segment to trigger when a person's profile changes.
- Select your specific Segment or Event from the sidebar and click Save.
- Click Save and build workflow to lock in your trigger and start designing the journey.
- Drag an Email block into your workflow and click it to open the message settings.
- Click Add Content.
- Choose a template or build your email from scratch in the Visual Editor.
- Enter your Subject and Sender details, then click Save and Back to Workflow.
- Click the Settings icon in the sidebar to define your Goal and Exit Conditions.
- Hit Start Campaign to activate your workflow and begin sending.
- Click Review & Start at the top-right to Review your campaign for any setup errors.
