How to Connect Motiontools to Slack

This demo shows how to integrate MotionTools with Slack using a Zapier Zap, so every new booking created in MotionTools automatically sends a channel message in Slack. Setting up this automation takes just a few minutes and requires no code — only your MotionTools API key and a connected Slack account.

Steps

1. Hit Create > Zap on the left sidebar in Zapier to start building a new automation.
2. Click on the Trigger step to define what event will start the Zap.
3. Select MotionTools from the list of available apps as your trigger app.
4. Choose Booking Created as the trigger event to fire the Zap whenever a new booking is made.
5. Click Account and connect your MotionTools account to authorize the integration.
6. Enter your MotionTools connection name and API key to complete the account authentication.
7. Select your Action event to define what happens after the trigger fires.
8. Search for Slack as the action app in the search field.
9. Choose Send channel message as the Action to post a Slack notification on each new booking.
10. Connect your Slack account if it is not already linked to Zapier.
11. Click Publish to activate the Zap and establish the live MotionTools–Slack connection.
