Quick summary
This demo shows how to connect IMAP to Slack using a Zapier automation so that every new email triggers a Slack channel message automatically. Setting up this IMAP Slack integration in Zapier takes just a few minutes and requires no coding.
Steps
- Hit Create > Zap on the left sidebar to start building a new Zap.
- Click on the Trigger to define the trigger event for your Zap.
- Select IMAP from the listed apps as your trigger application.
- Set the Trigger event to New Email to fire the Zap whenever a new email arrives.
- Click on Account to connect your IMAP account to Zapier.
- Enter your Host, Username, Password, Port and click Yes, Continue to authenticate.
- Select your Action event to define what happens after the trigger fires.
- Search for Slack as the action app.
- Choose Send channel message as the Action to post to Slack.
- Connect your Slack account if it is not already linked.
- Click Publish to activate the Zap and establish the IMAP-to-Slack connection.
