Quick summary
This demo shows how to connect Google Sheets to Slack using a Zapier Zap, so that every new spreadsheet row automatically sends a Slack channel message without any manual effort. It is a no-code automation that eliminates the need to monitor spreadsheets manually and keeps your team instantly informed.
Steps
- Click Create > Zap from the left sidebar to start building a new Zap.
- Click on the Trigger step to begin defining your trigger event.
- Select Google Sheets from the list of available apps.
- Set the trigger event to New Spreadsheet.
- Click Account and connect your Google Sheets account.
- Sign in to your Google account in the authentication pop-up.
- Move to the Action step and select your action event.
- Search for and select Slack as the action app.
- Choose Send channel message as the Slack Action.
- Connect your Slack account if it is not already linked.
- Click Publish to activate the Zap and establish the Google Sheets–Slack connection.
