This tutorial shows how to set up 1Password on your iPhone, sign in to your account, and manage your vault on the go.
Notes
- You'll need the 1Password app installed on your iPhone before starting. If you haven't installed it yet, download it from the App Store and sign in to your account first. Your iPhone must be running iOS 16 or later.
- If you're using Safari and want to save new logins as you browse, open Safari, tap the address bar, select Manage Extensions, and turn on 1Password. Tap the 1Password extension icon in the address bar, then tap Always Allow and select Always Allow on Every Website to make sure it works across all sites.
- Open the 1Password app. Enter your email address and account password, then tap Sign In. If prompted, verify your identity using Face ID or your device passcode and enable autofill for the first time.
- Once signed in, your vault opens to the Home screen. Tap Items to see everything in your vault, then tap any entry to view, copy, or launch its credentials.
- To find a specific entry, tap the Search icon at the top of the screen and type the site or app name. Tap the item to view, copy, edit, or delete it.
- To add a new item, tap the item at the bottom of the screen and select a category - for example, Login or Secure Note.
- Fill in the title, username, password, and website URL. To generate a secure password, tap the password field and select Generate a Password. Tap Save when done.
