This tutorial shows how to track Instagram metrics in Coda by building a Zapier automation that logs post data — including likes, comments, and reach — into a structured Coda table every time new media is published.


Steps

  1. Create a Coda table to serve as your Instagram metrics tracker.
  2. Add columns: Date, Post, Likes, Comments, and Reach to structure your data.
  3. Go to Zapier and create a new Zap to begin setting up the automation.
  4. Select Instagram for Business as the Trigger App in Zapier.
  5. Choose New Media Posted as the trigger event to fire the Zap on each new post.
  6. Connect your Instagram Business account to enable the integration with Zapier.
  7. Link your Coda doc as the action destination to complete the connection.
  8. Choose Create Row as the Coda action, targeting your Instagram Metrics table.
  9. Select the specific Coda table that will store your incoming Instagram metrics data.
  10. Map the Instagram data fields to your Coda columns to complete the automation setup.
  11. Test and publish the Zap to activate automatic Instagram metric tracking in Coda.
