Use this interactive demo to learn how to automate Miro frame creation from Confluence page updates via Zapier.

Quick summary

This demo shows how to sync Miro frames with Confluence pages by building a Zap that automatically triggers a Miro board creation whenever a Confluence Cloud event occurs. Follow the step-by-step walkthrough to connect both apps, configure the trigger and action, and publish your automation without writing any code.

Steps

  1. From your Zapier dashboard, select Zap to start building a new automation.
  2. Click on the Trigger field to begin selecting the trigger event.
  3. Click Confluence Cloud to set it as the trigger app.
  4. Select a trigger event that will kick off the automation.
  5. Connect your Confluence account by authorizing it within Zapier.
  6. Select the account you want to use and click Accept to grant access.
  7. Configure the event details and click Continue to proceed.
  8. Click Test trigger to verify the Confluence trigger is working correctly.
  9. Click Create Board to define the Miro action that will follow the trigger.
  10. Search and select Miro as the action app in your Zap.
  11. Connect your Miro account to authorize it within Zapier.
  12. Configure the action details and click Continue to move forward.
  13. Click Test step to confirm the Miro action executes successfully.
  14. Once the test is successful, click Publish to activate your Zap.

📌 Why this matters

Keeping visual collaboration in Miro aligned with documentation in Confluence is a common pain point for distributed teams. By using Zapier to automate the sync between Miro frames and Confluence pages, teams eliminate manual handoffs and ensure that boards are created or updated the moment relevant Confluence events occur. This no-code integration saves time, reduces human error, and keeps design and documentation workflows in lockstep. It is especially valuable for product, engineering, and design teams that rely on both tools daily.
