Here’s a simple and quick guide on how to save file with all links in Adobe InDesign:
- Open your document in Adobe InDesign and make sure all links are valid. Check the Links panel for warning icons (such as yellow triangles) and fix any missing links if needed.
- Select ‘Package’ from the File menu.
- Check the summary in the dialog box for details on fonts, links, and colors. Once reviewed, click the 'Package' button at the bottom to proceed.
- Ensure the following options are checked in the dialog box:
- Copy Fonts (except CJK fonts)
- Copy Linked Graphics
- Update Graphic Links in Package
- Include IDML (optional, but recommended for compatibility with older Adobe InDesign versions)
- Include PDF (optional, provides a high-resolution version for review or printing)
- Click the ‘Package’ button to create the folder and copy all the files into it.
- Click 'OK' to dismiss any warnings, like those about font licenses.
