Here’s a quick and easy guide for using Pantone colors in Adobe InDesign with the Pantone Connect plugin
Note: Pantone Connect offers both free and paid plans. While you can search and preview some colors for free, full access to all Pantone libraries, unlimited palettes, and advanced features requires a paid subscription.
- Open the Pantone Connect panel by going to 'Window' → 'Extensions' → 'Pantone Connect' in Adobe InDesign
- Go to the Color tab, and pick a library.
- To add a color to your swatches, search for the color in the Pantone Connect panel, click the 'three dots (...)' on the color swatch, and select 'Add to Swatch.'
- The color will now appear in your InDesign Swatches panel as a Spot Color. To ensure it uses the correct system, change the Color Mode to Pantone.
