Quick summary
This demo shows how to build a Zapier automation that triggers on new Dribbble shots and pushes the Likes Count as a description field when creating a Pinterest pin. By connecting both platforms through a Zap, designers can automatically cross-post engagement data from Dribbble to Pinterest without any manual effort.
Steps
- Navigate to the left-side panel and click Create to start building a new automation.
- Choose Zaps from the list of options.
- Tap the Trigger tab to begin setting up the integration.
- Search for Dribbble and select it as the trigger app from the suggested results.
- Tap the Trigger Event menu to view the available trigger options.
- Pick New Shot from the list as the trigger event.
- Tap Sign In and log into your Dribbble account to connect it.
- Click Continue to proceed after signing in.
- Click Test Trigger to validate your trigger configuration.
- Choose the record containing the Likes Count you wish to push, then tap Continue With Selected Record.
- Search for Pinterest and select it as the Action app.
- Tap the Action Event menu to continue configuring the action step.
- Pick Create Pin from the available action options.
- Click Sign In and log into your active Pinterest account.
- Tap Give Access to accept terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Fill out the input fields one by one with the required details: Board, image file, destination link, and title.
- Navigate to the Description field and click its corresponding Add icon.
- Choose Likes Count from the list to map the Dribbble data to the Pinterest pin description.
- Click Continue to process your configuration.
- Click Publish to activate the Zap and begin pushing Dribbble Likes Count to Pinterest automatically.
