Microsoft To Do uses starring (flagging as important) as its main prioritization method, with sorting and My Day for focus.
- On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click the App launcher in the upper-left corner.
- From the app list, select To Do to open Microsoft To Do.
- Click on an existing task or create a new one.
- Click the Star icon next to a task to instantly move it to your "Important" list for high visibility.
- In the Detail Pane that opens on the right, click on the Add to My Day button.
- Click the Sort icon at the top of your list and choose Importance to bubble all starred items to the top.
- Click Add due date to set when this task needs completion.
- Click Remind me to set up a notification alert.
- Review your list daily to ensure your energy is spent on the right objectives, and you’re all set.
