Pinning repositories on GitHub lets you highlight your most important projects directly on your profile, making them immediately visible to collaborators, recruiters, and visitors. You can pin up to six repositories using the Customize your pins option on your GitHub profile page.
Steps
- Log in to GitHub and navigate to your profile by clicking on your profile picture at the top right corner.
- Select 'Your profile' from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the pinned repositories section and click the 'Customize your pins' button.
- A list of your repositories will appear — click the checkboxes next to each repository you want to pin.
- After selecting your repositories, click 'Save pins' to apply the changes.
- Your pinned repositories will now be displayed on your profile, showcasing your most important work to every visitor.
