Here’s a quick and easy guide on how to package a file in Adobe InDesign, which creates a folder containing the document, fonts, linked graphics, and a PDF for sharing or printing:

‍

  1. To package a file in Adobe InDesign, go to the File menu and select 'Package.'
  2. Review the Summary and scope of the package, then click 'Package' to proceed.
  3. In the dialog box, ensure Copy Fonts, Copy Linked Graphics, Include IDML, and Include PDF are checked to include fonts, images, compatibility files, and a print-ready version.
  4. Click 'Package' to complete the process.
  5. When the Warning dialog box appears, review the message about font usage and licensing. Click 'OK' to acknowledge the warning and continue with the packaging process.‍
  6. Locate and select your packaged folder in the file location where you saved it to view all the assets it contains.
