Use this interactive demo to learn how to sync your Shopify inventory levels into a Coda doc.

Quick summary

This tutorial shows you how to connect Shopify to Coda and pull live inventory levels into a customizable doc dashboard. By inserting the Shopify integration and authenticating your account, you can monitor and manage product stock without leaving Coda.

Steps

  1. Inside your Coda doc, head to the top-right corner and click 'Insert'.
  2. Click the search bar and type 'Shopify' to find the integration.
  3. Select 'Inventory Levels' from the results and drag it to the main workspace for customization.
  4. Click 'Connect Read Account' to establish the connection between Coda and Shopify.
  5. Enter your Shopify API credentials one by one into their respective input fields.
  6. Click 'Continue' to proceed with the account setup.
  7. Tap 'Complete Setup' to finalize the integration.
  8. Click 'Sync Now' to fetch all required inventory data from Shopify.
  9. Click 'Table Options' to open the customization panel for your inventory table.
  10. Configure the available customization options to match your preferred display and layout.
  11. Your Shopify product inventory is now imported into Coda. Use this dashboard to monitor updates, and head to Shopify admin to make any necessary stock adjustments.

📌 Why this matters

Connecting Shopify inventory to Coda gives operations and ecommerce teams a single, flexible workspace to monitor real-time stock levels without switching between platforms. Instead of manually exporting data, the Coda-Shopify integration automatically syncs inventory levels so teams can track product availability, spot shortfalls, and act faster. This matters because fragmented inventory visibility is a leading cause of stockouts and overselling, both of which hurt customer experience and revenue. By centralizing Shopify inventory data in a customizable Coda doc, teams can build live dashboards, automate alerts, and keep every stakeholder aligned on stock status.
