Quick summary
Leaving a shared Dropbox folder removes your access to its contents without deleting the folder for other members. You can remove your access in just a few clicks through Dropbox's Manage permissions panel.
Steps
- Log in to your Dropbox account at dropbox.com.
- Hover over the shared folder you want to leave and click the ellipsis (...) menu next to its name.
- Click Manage permissions from the dropdown options.
- Click the dropdown next to your name in the permissions panel.
- Select Remove my access from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm by clicking the Remove my access button to permanently leave the shared folder.
