This tutorial shows how to integrate Intercom into a website by generating and copying a code snippet directly from the Intercom Messenger settings. Once the snippet is pasted into your site and installation is verified, the Intercom Messenger becomes live for website visitors.
Steps
- Go to the left-side panel, then click Settings.
- Select Channels from the list of options.
- Click Messenger to proceed.
- Tap the Install tab.
- Select Code Snippet as the installation method.
- Choose the specific user access you prefer to set.
- Select the type of code you want to use.
- Find the generated code snippet, click the Copy Code button, then paste the code into your website.
- Repeat the same steps for any additional snippets that need to be added.
- Once done, click Check Installation to verify.
- Your Intercom Messenger is now successfully integrated into your website via code snippet.
