How to Install 1Password on Mac

This tutorial shows you how to install the 1Password app on a Mac using the App Store.

Note: 1Password for Mac requires macOS 12 or newer. A 1Password account is required to use the app. 

1. Search and select "App Store" from the Mac search bar or click the App Store icon in the Dock.
2. In the App Store search bar, Type "1Password" in the search bar at the top left and press Enter. Then, click "1Password – Password Manager" in the search results.
3. In the 1Password – Password Manager page, click "Get”, then click "Install" when the button updates.
4. Authenticate with Touch ID or your Apple ID password when prompted. This is a standard App Store step required for all app installations.
5. Wait for the download to complete. The button changes to "Open" once 1Password is installed. Click "Open" to launch 1Password for the first time.
