Here’s how to do it:
- Click on your profile icon in the top right corner to open the menu.
- Select "Settings" from the dropdown to access your account configuration.
- Scroll down the sidebar and click on "Developer settings" near the bottom.
- Now, click on "Personal access tokens" to manage your API credentials.
- Choose "Tokens (classic)" for traditional token generation.
- Click "Generate new token" and select "Generate new token (classic)" from the dropdown.
- Click 'Verify via email' to continue.
- Choose and select your project scope.
- Scroll down and click "Generate token" to create your new API key.
- All done! Use this token in your Copilot API requests. Keep it secret, keep it safe.
