This tutorial shows how to enable autofill in the 1Password Chrome extension, so your saved logins fill automatically when you visit a sign-in page.
Note: Your 1Password browser extension must be installed and signed in. If you haven't set that up yet, see How to Add 1Password to Chrome first. Make sure you have at least one login saved in your vault before following these steps - see How to Use 1Password on Chrome.
- Click the 1Password icon in your browser or the Chrome toolbar to open the extension.
- Click the Account Menu icon in the top-left corner of the extension.
- In the bottom part of the extension page, go to "Settings” and select "Autofill and save."
- Turn on "Offer to fill and save logins and other items in form fields." This enables the inline autofill prompt that appears when you visit a sign-in page. Optionally, you can toggle all the settings according to your preferences.
- Visit a sign-in page where you have a saved login - for example, trello.com/login.Click the 1Password icon that appears inside the username field and select your saved login to fill your credentials automatically. Note: You can repeat the process to add more passwords with a different login website.
