This tutorial shows how to re-enable the 1Password extension in Chrome if it has been disabled or is no longer visible in your toolbar.
Note: This applies if 1Password was previously installed but stopped appearing in Chrome, for example, after a browser update, a Chrome cleanup, or accidentally disabling it. If 1Password is not installed at all, see How to Add 1Password to Chrome first.
- Open Chrome and click the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
- Check whether 1Password appears in the dropdown. If it does not appear or shows as inactive, it may be disabled.
- Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
- Find "1Password – Password Manager" in the list and click the toggle to turn it on.
- Click the Extensions icon again and click the pin icon next to 1Password to restore it to your toolbar.
- Click the 1Password icon in the toolbar to confirm it loads and prompts you to sign in.
