How to Enable 1Password in Chrome

This tutorial shows how to re-enable the 1Password extension in Chrome if it has been disabled or is no longer visible in your toolbar.

Note: This applies if 1Password was previously installed but stopped appearing in Chrome, for example, after a browser update, a Chrome cleanup, or accidentally disabling it. If 1Password is not installed at all, see How to Add 1Password to Chrome first.

1. Open Chrome and click the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece) in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
2. Check whether 1Password appears in the dropdown. If it does not appear or shows as inactive, it may be disabled.
3. Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
4. Find "1Password – Password Manager" in the list and click the toggle to turn it on.
5. Click the Extensions icon again and click the pin icon next to 1Password to restore it to your toolbar.
6. Click the 1Password icon in the toolbar to confirm it loads and prompts you to sign in.
