How to Delete Slack Messages

This demo shows how to delete and edit messages in Slack using the More Actions menu. Both actions take just a few clicks and let you correct or remove sent messages without leaving your conversation.

Steps

1. Identify the Slack message you want to delete.
2. Open the More Actions option on the message.
3. Click Delete message from the actions menu.
4. Confirm the deletion to permanently remove the message.
5. To edit a message instead, select the Edit option from the More Actions menu.
6. Edit your message text directly in the message input field.
7. Click Save to resend the updated message to the conversation.
