Deactivating your LinkedIn account is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to deactivate your account temporarily or permanently:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Select 'Settings & Privacy' from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the 'Settings & Privacy' menu, go to the 'Account Preferences' section.
  4. Scroll down to 'Account Management'. Under Account Management, click 'Hibernate account'.
  5. Click 'Hibernate' to deactivate your LinkedIn account.
  6. LinkedIn will ask why you want to deactivate your account. Choose a reason and provide feedback.
  7. Click 'Next'.
  8. Enter your LinkedIn account password to confirm the request and click 'Hibernate' account to finalize the deactivation.
  9. By following these steps, you can deactivate your LinkedIn account anytime you want.
