‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to crop an image in Adobe Acrobat

‍

  1. Open the image in Adobe Acrobat. (It opens as a PDF page.)
  2. On the right-side pane, click Edit PDF.
  3. In the top toolbar, click Crop Pages.
  4. Drag to draw a rectangle around the area you want to keep, then press Enter.
  5. In the dialog box, adjust the margin setting to your cropping preference, then click OK.
  6. Click Close to exit the editing tools.
  7. Click File > Save As.
  8. Choose a folder, type a file name, then click Save.

📌 Why this matters

Cropping images in Acrobat lets you remove unwanted borders, focus on specific details, or resize visuals for presentations and documents. While most people think of this as basic editing, you're actually working with vector-based PDF elements that maintain their quality at any zoom level.

This means your cropped images stay crisp whether viewed on screen or printed, unlike traditional image editors that compress pixels. You can also crop multiple pages simultaneously, making it perfect for batch processing scanned documents or standardizing image layouts across professional materials.
