Subtasks, known as Steps in Microsoft To Do, allow you to break down complex B2B SaaS projects into smaller, manageable actions. Here is the simple guide:
- On your Microsoft 365 main dashboard, click the App launcher in the upper-left corner.
- From the app list, select To Do to open Microsoft To Do.
- Click on an existing task to open the detail pane on the right side of the screen.
- In the Detail Pane that opens on the right, click on + Add step.
- Type each subtask and press Enter to add as many individual steps as necessary to complete your larger goal.
- Review your main list to see how many steps are completed (e.g., "2 of 5"), and you’re all set.
