Quick summary
This demo shows how to create a Coda dashboard for Asana projects by building a Zapier automation that triggers on new Asana tasks and updates rows in a connected Coda document. Once published, the Zap keeps your Coda workspace in sync with Asana in real time — no manual data entry required.
Steps
- Log in to Zapier, click Create, and select Zaps to begin building your automation.
- Click Trigger and search for Asana as the trigger app.
- Choose a trigger event such as New Task or Updated Task to define when the Zap fires.
- Connect your Asana account or select an existing connection to access your workspace.
- Specify which Asana workspace and project to monitor for new tasks.
- Click Test trigger to confirm Zapier detects a sample task from Asana.
- Choose Coda as the destination app where Asana task data will be sent.
- Select Update Row as the action to modify existing Coda data when new Asana tasks arrive.
- Connect your Coda account to enable the integration with Asana.
- Select which Coda document should receive the incoming Asana task data.
- Run a test to confirm the full Zap works correctly end to end.
- Click Publish to activate your Zap and start syncing Asana tasks to Coda automatically.
