Quick summary
This tutorial shows how to create a Coda chart from Google Analytics data by connecting the Google Analytics Pack inside a Coda doc and converting a synced table into a visual chart. The process takes just a few steps and requires no coding — only a Google Analytics account and access to your Coda workspace.
Steps
- Inside your Coda doc, navigate to the top-right corner and click 'Insert'.
- Click the search bar and type 'Google Analytics' to find the Pack.
- Browse the list under Pack Tables, select the Google Analytics dataset you want to visualize, and drag it into the main workspace.
- Click 'Connect Read Account' to begin linking your Google Analytics account.
- Tap 'Sign In With Google Analytics' and log into your Google account.
- Click 'Continue' to accept the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Tap 'Complete Setup' to finish the account connection.
- In the right-side panel, configure the sync settings — such as account, property, and date range — based on your preferences.
- Return to the main workspace and click 'Sync Now' to pull in your Google Analytics data.
- Click the drop-down arrow next to 'Refresh' to access table display options.
- Choose 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.
- Click 'More' to view additional display formats.
- Select 'Chart' from the available format options.
- Configure the chart settings — including axes and chart type — according to your preferences.
- Your Coda chart built from live Google Analytics data is now ready.
