Quick summary
Creating a flow in Figma lets designers link frames and objects into interactive prototypes without leaving the design canvas. By using the Prototype tab and the Add connection tool, you can define navigation paths and configure interaction settings in just a few steps.
Steps
- In your Figma design canvas, find and select the object you want to use as the starting point of the flow.
- Head over to the right-side panel and click the Prototype tab.
- Go back to the canvas and hover your mouse cursor over the selected object.
- Click and hold the Add icon attached to your chosen starting point, then drag it to another object in the canvas to create a connection.
- Once the flow is created, open the Interaction floating menu and configure the interaction settings to your liking.
- For further customization, return to the right-side panel and use the available options to make your desired prototype changes.
