How to Connect Chatter to Slack

This demo walks you through building a Zapier automation that connects Salesforce Chatter to Slack, so every new Chatter group automatically sends a channel message. Setting up this Zap requires no coding and takes just a few minutes inside the Zapier editor.

Steps

1. Hit Create > Zap on the left sidebar to start a new Zap.
2. Click on the Trigger to define the trigger event.
3. Select Chatter from the listed apps as your trigger app.
4. Set the Trigger event to New Group.
5. Click on Account and connect your Salesforce account.
6. Enter your Salesforce credentials and click Yes, Continue to authorize access.
7. Select your Action event in the Zap editor.
8. Search for and select Slack as the action app.
9. Choose Send channel message as the Slack action.
10. Connect your Slack account if it is not already linked.
11. Click Publish to activate the Zap and establish the connection.
