Use this interactive demo to learn how to change the page orientation in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to change page orientation in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

  1. Open the PDF file where you want to change the page orientation.
  2. On the right-side panel, click Organize Pages.
  3. Click the thumbnail of the page or pages you want to rotate.
  4. Click Rotate Left or Rotate Right.
  5. Click Close to exit Organize Pages.

📌 Why this matters

Changing page orientation fixes documents that appear sideways or upside-down, making them readable without awkward head tilting or device rotation. You'll encounter this frequently with scanned documents, mobile-captured PDFs, or files created across different devices.

Beyond basic readability, proper orientation ensures professional presentation when sharing documents with clients or colleagues. It also prevents printing mishaps where pages emerge incorrectly oriented, saving paper and time. When you're compiling multi-source documents into a single PDF, consistent orientation creates a polished, cohesive final product that flows naturally from page to page.
