Steps

  1. Click your profile icon at the upper right corner of your GitHub dashboard.
  2. From the drop-down menu, select Settings.
  3. Click the Password and authentication button in the left sidebar.
  4. Click the Change password button on the security page.
  5. Enter your current credential in the Old password field.
  6. Enter your updated credential in the New password field.
  7. Re-enter your updated credential in the Confirm new password field.
  8. Click Update password to save your changes and secure your account.
