Use this interactive demo to learn how to change the default font in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to change the default font in Adobe Acrobat

‍

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  2. On the top-most left section, click Edit.
  3. Click Preferences
  4. Click Content Editing.
  5. Change the Default font for Add Text to your desired font.
  6. Click OK.

📌 Why this matters

Changing your default font eliminates the tedious task of manually adjusting text formatting every time you add comments, annotations, or fill out forms. You'll maintain visual consistency across all your PDF edits without repetitive formatting steps.

Beyond convenience, this becomes crucial when you're working with branded documents or client materials that require specific typography standards. Your annotations and additions will automatically match the document's existing style, making your edits appear more professional and integrated rather than obviously added later.
