Quick summary
This tutorial shows how to automate data entry into Coda using Make (formerly Integromat) by connecting a Google Sheets trigger to a Coda action module. Once configured, the scenario runs on a schedule and transfers data from your spreadsheet to Coda without any manual input.
Steps
- On Make's main dashboard, click 'Create a New Scenario' at the top-right corner.
- Choose your preferred data source from the list of apps — for example, Google Sheets.
- Select your preferred Trigger — such as triggering when a new row is added.
- Tap 'Create a Connection' to link your data source app to Make.
- Since Google Sheets is selected, click 'Sign In With Google' and log into your account.
- Click 'Allow' to agree to the terms and grant the necessary permissions.
- Provide the information needed to set up the Trigger, including the Search Method and related fields.
- Once done, tap 'Save' to confirm the trigger configuration.
- Select your preferred starting point and click 'Save'.
- Click the 'Add Another Module' button to add a destination app.
- Find and select 'Coda' from the list of available modules.
- Pick your preferred Action — ensure it supports data entry from the configured source.
- Click 'Create a Connection' to link your Coda account.
- Enter your Coda API Token into the input field and click 'Save'.
- Fill out the required input fields one by one, including the Doc ID and other parameters.
- For specific fields, select dynamic items from the trigger app to map and transfer exact data into Coda.
- Once done, click 'Save' to confirm the action module settings.
- Review the integration details and click 'Save'.
- Switch on the toggle beside 'Every 15 Minutes' to schedule automated data entry from the source to Coda.
- The automation scenario is now saved and enabled based on your custom configuration.
