Quick summary
Adding section titles in SurveyMonkey uses the Text block feature to insert non-question headings that visually organize your survey. You can format, describe, and reposition each title to clearly separate survey sections for respondents.
Steps
- Navigate to your desired survey and click the ellipsis icon.
- Select 'Edit survey' from the drop-down menu.
- In the 'Design Survey' section, click on the 'Build' menu.
- Scroll down and locate the 'Text' option — a non-question text block ideal for section titles — then click 'Add'.
- In the 'Text' field, type the title or heading of your section.
- Optionally, add a description below the title to give respondents more context about that section.
- Use the available text formatting options — such as bold, italics, underline, or text color — to make the section title stand out.
- Click 'SAVE' to save your section title.
- Drag and drop the title to the correct position in your survey to serve as a divider between sections.
