How to Add Passwords to 1Password

This tutorial shows how to manually add a password to your 1Password vault.

Note: You need to have access to the 1Password web app or desktop app installed and an active account to follow these steps.

1. Open and unlock 1Password on your browser or desktop app, and go to the main dashboard. 
2. Click "+ New Item" in the top-right corner, and select "Login" or “Password” from the category list.
3. Enter a name for the item - for example, "Company Password."
4. Type the username and password in the corresponding fields. An optional generated password is available for new entries. Click the eye icon to verify it before saving. 
5. Add the website URL in the website field.
6. Click Save to store the credential in your vault. Repeat the process to add more passwords manually.
