How to Activate Cash Coding With Standard Permission in Xero

It is very easy to activate cash coding with Standard permission in Xero. Here’s a short guide on how to do it:

  1. On Xero's main dashboard, navigate to the top-left corner. and click the 'Company' tab.
  2. Choose 'Settings' from the list of options.
  3. Following that, find and select the 'Users' option.
  4. Locate the user whose permissions you want to edit and then click the 'More Options' button next to it.
  5. Subsequently, tap 'Change Permissions' to proceed.
  6. Under the Standard permission, find Bank Accounts and Balances and tick the radio button beside the 'Bulk Reconciliation and Statement Line Editing (Cash Coding)' option.
  7. Once done, click 'Update Permissions' to apply the changes.
  8. After completing these steps, the cash coding feature will be activated instantly in your Xero account.
