This demo shows how to automate Salesforce lead status updates using Zapier whenever a Trello card is moved or updated. By connecting Trello as the trigger and Salesforce as the action app, teams eliminate manual data entry and keep CRM records in sync in real time.
Steps
- Click "Create" and then select "Zaps" to begin a new automation.
- Click "Trigger" to start configuring the trigger step.
- Search for Trello and select it as the trigger app.
- Choose a Trigger Event — for example, "Card Moved to List" or "Card Updated" — depending on when you want to update Salesforce.
- Authorize access to your Trello account.
- Choose the Trello board and list to monitor for lead updates.
- Run a test by clicking "Test trigger" to confirm the trigger works.
- Add Salesforce as the Action App.
- Choose an Action Event — for example, "Update Record" or "Create Record".
- Connect Salesforce to Zapier by authorizing your account.
- Map Trello card fields (name, status, description) to the corresponding Salesforce lead fields.
- Verify that updates in Trello trigger the corresponding changes in Salesforce.
- Activate the automation to sync Trello and Salesforce updates seamlessly.
