Use this interactive demo to learn how to wrap text in Adobe Acrobat.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to wrap text in Adobe Acrobat:

‍

  1. Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. On the right-side pane, click More Tools.
  3. Click Prepare Form.
  4. Right-click the Text field and select Properties.
  5. Go to Options.
  6. Check Multi-line to allow text to wrap.
  7. Click Close.‍
  8. Click Close to exit Prepare Form.

📌 Why this matters

Text wrapping in PDF forms prevents user frustration when responses exceed the visible field area. Without this setting, lengthy text gets cut off or forces users to scroll within tiny input boxes, making forms appear broken or unprofessional.

When you enable multi-line text wrapping, you're actually creating accessible forms that accommodate varying response lengths naturally. This becomes crucial for client intake forms, surveys, or any document where you can't predict how much detail someone needs to provide in their answers.
