Semrush's paid search tools let you analyze competitor ad strategies, uncover high-performing PPC keywords, and build optimized keyword lists for your own campaigns. This workflow covers everything from Advertising Research to Position Tracking so you can launch data-driven paid campaigns faster.
Steps
- Navigate to Advertising > Advertising Research in the left sidebar.
- Enter a competitor's domain in the search field.
- Go to the Ads Copies tab to view competitor ad creatives.
- Review the competitor's Paid Keywords and Ad copy to identify targeting opportunities.
- Click on Keywords below the ads to expand all trigger keywords.
- View all keywords along with related data such as position, CPC, and trend.
- Export the keywords for use in your own campaigns.
- Head over to PPC Keywords in the left sidebar.
- Enter your website domain and click Set up.
- Clean your keyword list by removing negative keywords and grouping them, then upload your keyword list.
- Start configuring your ad campaign using the organized keyword data.
- Go to the Position Tracking tool from the sidebar.
- Add your website and target keywords, set up email reports, and launch your campaign.
