Quick summary
Notion AI lets you generate content, fix grammar, and summarize pages directly inside your Notion workspace. You can trigger it three ways: by highlighting text, typing the /ai command, or pressing the spacebar on an empty line.
Steps
- Highlight any text in your Notion page and select Ask AI from the pop-up menu.
- Type a prompt for the AI or choose a preset action such as Fix spelling and grammar.
- Review the AI results displayed on screen, then choose Replace or Discard to apply or dismiss them.
- Select your desired option and click to confirm your choice.
- The selected option will be applied to your content immediately.
- Type /ai anywhere in your document to open the Notion AI menu via the command method.
- Select a desired action such as Summary from the Notion AI menu.
- An AI block will be inserted with additional options — click Generate to proceed.
- Notion AI will perform the action and deliver the result, such as a generated summary of the page.
- Press the space key on any empty line to open the Notion AI menu using the spacebar method.
