Quick summary
Notion does not have a native center text button, but you can achieve centered alignment using three workarounds: the Block Equation method, manual spacing, or a Columns layout. Each approach lets you visually center any text block inside a Notion page without third-party tools.
Steps
- Select the text you wish to center in Notion and open more options using the dotted menu.
- Click Turn into to open additional block-type options.
- Select the Block equation option to convert your text into a Math Block, which automatically centers it on the page.
- Click on your Block equation to enter edit mode.
- Use KaTeX formatting functions such as \Large for large font and ~ for spaces to style your text as needed.
- Click Done to finish editing the Block equation.
- To use the Spacing method, place your cursor before your text.
- Add spaces manually to push your text into the center of the line.
- To use the Columns method, navigate to the line where you want to center text.
- Use the slash command to search for column blocks (type /column) and select an odd-numbered layout such as 3 columns.
- Type your text into the middle column.
- Drag and adjust the column borders to align your text to the center.
- Your text is now centered using the middle column layout.
