Use this interactive demo to learn how to leverage CC libraries in your Adobe InDesign projects.

‍

‍

Here’s a simple and quick guide on how to use CC Libraries in Adobe InDesign:

‍

  1. To use the CC Libraries in Adobe InDesign, first open the CC Libraries panel from the right-side menu, or access it via 'Window' → 'CC Libraries.'
  2. Once open, you can browse and use shared Creative Cloud (CC) Libraries in Adobe InDesign.
  3. You can create your own library to store assets such as photos, shapes, fonts, and more.
  4. Rename your library and click 'Create.'
  5. As an example, select an image or object and drag it into your CC library to add and store it for future use.
  6. Click the profile icon at the top-right of the panel to add collaborators or share your library assets with others.‍
  7. Add people to your library, or simply copy the link and share it with them for collaborative access. Then, return to your CC Library to view the libraries they have shared.

📌 Why this matters

CC Libraries transform your design assets into a centralized hub that travels with you across all Creative Cloud applications. You can access the same logos, color palettes, and graphics whether you're working in InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

Beyond personal convenience, libraries become powerful collaboration tools that ensure brand consistency across teams. When multiple designers pull from the same shared library, everyone automatically uses the latest approved assets, eliminating version control headaches and maintaining visual coherence across all marketing materials and publications.
