SendGrid's Design Editor lets you insert basic variables into email templates using the built-in Tags panel, enabling personalized content at scale. In just a few steps, you can copy a variable, paste it into any text module, and save your changes without writing any code.
Steps
- In SendGrid's Design Editor, open the left-side panel and select the Tags tab.
- Browse the variable list, find the one you need, and click the Copy button next to it.
- In the preview area, click the text module you want to edit.
- Paste the variable into the text module content area.
- Click outside the selected module, then repeat the steps to add more custom variable values as needed.
- When finished, click Save to apply all changes to your email template.
