How to Unhide Rows in Microsoft Project

Use this interactive demo to learn how to unhide rows in Microsoft Project.

‍

‍

To unhide rows, follow these simple steps:

‍

  1. Start by opening your Microsoft Project file where you need to unhide tasks that were previously hidden.
  2. To unhide tasks, navigate to the "Marked" column and double click the column to view more options.
  3. Select "Clear Filter" from the dropdown menu. This removes any active filters that might be hiding tasks.
  4. That's it! All your hidden tasks should now be visible again.

📌 Why this matters

Hidden rows in your project schedule can derail team coordination and stakeholder communication. When tasks disappear from view due to applied filters, you lose the complete picture of dependencies, resource allocation, and timeline impacts.

Unhiding these rows restores your full project visibility, allowing you to make informed decisions about scope changes, identify potential bottlenecks, and provide accurate status updates. Your filtered view might have solved one problem, but it inadvertently created blind spots that could compromise project success if left unaddressed.
