Try this interactive demo to learn how to turn off track changes in your Adobe Acrobat documents.

‍

‍

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to turn off track changes in Adobe Acrobat:

‍

Note: Adobe Acrobat does not have a native "Track Changes" feature like Microsoft Word; instead, it uses the Comments pane to display edits.

‍

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat.
  2. On the right-side pane, click Comment (or Comments).
  3. To remove comments: click a comment, then press Delete (or click the three dots (•••) and select Delete).
  4. Repeat Step 3 for other comments you want to remove.
  5. Click Close to exit the Comment tools.

📌 Why this matters

Removing comments from your PDF creates a clean, final version ready for official distribution or archiving. While comments serve as valuable feedback during the review process, leaving them visible in shared documents can appear unprofessional or reveal internal discussions you'd prefer to keep private.

This becomes especially critical when sending contracts to clients, submitting reports to stakeholders, or publishing materials where editorial marks would undermine credibility. You maintain complete control over which feedback gets incorporated while presenting a polished document that reflects your intended message.
